Bee Cave hosted the largest Golden Retriever Meetup in Texas at Star Hill Ranch on Sunday, organized by ZilkerBark.
Although organizers hoped to break a world record with over 1,700 dogs, the event still saw an impressive turnout of 1,267 golden retrievers and 3,000 people. It raised $20,000—surpassing the $15,000 goal—for Gold Ribbon Rescue of Central Texas.
New attractions included golden retriever races, a toy run, and an Air Bud look-alike contest. Attendees came from all over, including River Landry from Arlington, who brought her dog Mason to enjoy the fun and meet other goldens.
