In a remarkable rescue story from Seligman, Arizona, a 2-year-old boy named Boden Allen, who went missing overnight in the desert, was found safe thanks to a rancher's dog.
After a wide search involving multiple agencies and rescue teams, Boden was discovered the next morning by a rancher, Scotty Dunton, at the end of his driveway—seven miles from the boy’s home and across rugged terrain. Dunton's guardian dog, Buford, an Anatolian Pyrenees, had apparently found the child and guided him to safety.
Boden told Dunton he had slept under a tree during the night. Grateful and relieved, Dunton credited Buford for the boy’s survival and promised him a steak dinner for his heroic act.
