For National Dog Mom’s Day, the Hawaiian Humane Society is highlighting the special bond between women and their rescue dogs while encouraging adoptions.
Brandy Shimabukuro, the Society’s Communications Manager and a dog mom herself, introduced Coast, a 1-year-old terrier mix looking for a home. The event aligns with the BISSELL Pet Foundation’s “Empty the Shelters” campaign, offering 30% off adoption fees for pets over 7 months old through May 15. Brandy emphasized the benefits of adopting adult dogs and shared her own celebration plans with her rescue pups at Kailua Beach.
