A golden retriever puppy named Willow is bringing smiles to residents and staff at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna, Wisconsin.
The puppy arrived two weeks ago and is training to become a live-in service dog whose role will be to provide comfort and companionship. Staff say dozens of people stop to greet Willow each day, and residents say she helps spark conversations and happy memories.
Residents chose her name through a vote, and many also suggested “Joy” as her middle name — a fitting description of the happiness she has already brought to the facility. Willow will continue training over the next few months before eventually roaming the halls full time, spreading joy to everyone she meets.
