Dozens of dogs and their owners hit the waves during the Hang 8 Dog Surfing Extravaganza in Daytona Beach, Florida, drawing spectators for a day of surfing, family-friendly entertainment, and community fun.
Held on Volusia County's dog-friendly beach, the event featured canine surfing competitions for dogs of all sizes while raising funds for local animal welfare, rescue, adoption, and rehabilitation programs. Animal services staff and veterinary teams were on hand to ensure the safety of participating dogs.
Organizers said the annual event celebrates the bond between people and their pets while supporting initiatives that benefit animals throughout the region.
