Liberty, New Hampshire's first police comfort dog, is retiring after eight years with the Concord Police Department.

Trained from four months old and sworn in in 2019, Liberty helped launch the department's comfort dog program for officers. Her handler, Lenny, is also retiring, and the department plans to hold a public ceremony to honor them both.
