A dog missing since the Fourth of July has been safely reunited with its owner after being found swimming in San Francisco Bay, ending weeks of uncertainty.
The dog was spotted near the Dumbarton Bridge, where firefighters launched a rescue operation. Before rescuers reached the dog, it was reportedly swarmed by seagulls. Using a drone, binoculars, and a fireboat, crews tracked the exhausted dog, safely brought it aboard, and took it to the local SPCA, where staff identified its owner.
The heartwarming reunion marked the end of the dog's remarkable journey. Officials praised the coordinated rescue effort, while the dog's survival after weeks on its own has captured widespread attention.
