A dog missing from Lincoln, Nebraska, for five years has been reunited with his owner. Chong was found more than 600 miles away behind a truck stop in Indiana.
The dog was taken to the Hendricks County Animal Shelter, where staff scanned his microchip and identified his owner, Inmaculada Jackman. Jackman said she never gave up hope and continued searching for Chong over the years.
After the ownership process was completed, Chong returned home to Nebraska. Jackman hopes the reunion will inspire other pet owners to keep searching for their missing animals.
