A dog rescued from a garbage truck in Houston, Texas, has been adopted by the driver who discovered him, giving the pup a second chance at life.
Truck driver Gabriel found the dog inside his vehicle during a routine collection route in June and immediately brought him to the Houston SPCA for care.
At the shelter, the dog received a shave, vaccinations, and a microchip. A few weeks later, Gabriel completed the adoption process, named him Hopper, and welcomed him into his home. Hopper is now living happily with Gabriel and his family.
