Rescue puppies took center stage at New York Fashion Week this week, walking the runway in a unique fashion show designed to help them find forever homes.
The third annual dog-and-fashion show, hosted by designers Rachel Antonoff and Susan Korn at Webster Hall, featured adoptable puppies from Animal Haven, a rescue center in Manhattan’s Chinatown. Several celebrities, including Susie Essman, Bebe Neuwirth and Victoria Pedretti, joined the dogs on the runway.
The event combined fashion with an adoption campaign, and several adoption requests had already been submitted during the show. Organizers also waived adoption fees for the featured dogs, building on last year’s success, when every dog that appeared on the runway was adopted.
