A dog named Red was rescued after falling about 150 feet down a steep cliff at Petit Jean State Park in Arkansas.
Red went missing after she escaped from a cabin when a gate apparently failed to latch properly while her owner, Phyllis Hawkins, was spending time with family and friends.
After searching for Red, the family heard her barking and found her about 150 feet down a steep cliff. Because the area was too dangerous to reach her, firefighters and park rangers were called to help. Rescuers safely brought Red back up. She suffered heat exhaustion and a scraped elbow but survived the accident.
