A dog named Kingston is now safe and has been adopted after he was found abandoned inside a dumpster in Durham, North Carolina.
A deputy rescued Kingston after Durham County Animal Services investigators were alerted to the situation. Authorities are still searching for a person of interest in the suspected animal-cruelty case.
Thankfully, Kingston has since found a new home, turning a disturbing case of animal abandonment into a hopeful new beginning.
