Tater, a Labrador retriever, has been elected the first-ever dog mayor at The Wag, a dog park and bar near Grandview Heights, Ohio.
Tater won the lighthearted election against 79 other nominees and five finalists, bringing the local dog-loving community together. Her campaign included promises to extend dog swim days at the municipal pool, greet children leaving school, and keep neighborhood squirrels under watch.
Officially sworn in on October 9, Tater will make appearances at community events throughout the year, serving as a furry ambassador for local dogs and their families.
