A beloved hunting dog who vanished under suspicious circumstances has made a surprising return home.
Belle, a 7-year-old plott-hound-walker mix and experienced hunting dog, went missing while tracking a cougar on the Shi Shi Trail near Neah Bay. Her owner, JD Daniels, later found her GPS collar suspiciously removed and left on a barricade. The family believes Belle may have been stolen, as she is a friendly and approachable dog. Belle mysteriously returned home on June 13, though her whereabouts during the disappearance remain unknown.
Belle has spent her life working in the woods and is known for helping keep the trails safe. She is not a typical house pet and doesn't do well in enclosed spaces due to her high energy and need for room to run.
