Bob, a service dog to Colorado veteran Will, went missing after a crash near the Eisenhower-Johnson Tunnel.
Summit Lost Pet Rescue (SLPR) quickly responded, setting up a scent station. After a day of searching, CDOT crews spotted Bob on a hillside. Volunteers Melissa Davis and Chris Decker carefully approached and safely rescued him. Bob was reunited with Will, who had just left the hospital, in an emotional reunion.
Will’s wife, Linda, praised SLPR for their dedication, kindness, and support. The team, with over 1,000 rescues, continues to make a difference, with Davis noting, "The reunions are worth it... you're saving a life."
