A dog is being hailed as a hero after helping save a woman found unresponsive outside in freezing temperatures.
Dan DiCandilo was walking his dog, Gozier, when the dog began barking and pulled him toward a nearby home. There, he found a woman lying on the steps wearing a white robe that made her nearly invisible against the snow from the road. DiCandilo called 911 as Gozier continued barking.
Surveillance footage showed the woman had been outside for about three hours in 15-degree weather. She survived after spending a week in intensive care. The Town of Ashland later honored Gozier for the life-saving rescue.
