A 4-year-old Labrador named Java from Kansas City, Missouri, is aiming to make history by attempting a Guinness World Records title on March 21.
Her challenge is to place as many clothespins as possible on a line in one minute, with at least five needed to set the record.
Originally trained as a service dog, Java instead found success in trick competitions, becoming an International Trick Dog Champion in 2023. Her owner, Lisa Rickards, says daily training keeps Java sharp and energetic. If successful, Java will be the first dog to achieve this unique record—and will celebrate with a few extra treats.
