Six-year-old Coco, a Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix, was safely reunited with her owner, Juan Santiago, after being found tied near railroad tracks in Everett, Massachusetts.
Coco went missing from Santiago's backyard, prompting a neighborhood search. She was later rescued by animal control officer Stacia Gorgone, who noted signs that Coco may have been tied up and escaped, raising suspicions of theft.
Police connected Santiago’s missing dog report to their rescue, confirming her identity with medical records and photos. Now back home with a new coat and pearls, Santiago says he's relieved and overjoyed.
