K-9 Ritter of the UW-Madison Police Department has retired after nine years of service in Wisconsin.
Ritter, an explosive detection and human tracking dog, served alongside Officer Justin Zurbuchen since 2017, completing 327 deployments and attending every Wisconsin home football game.
The department announced Ritter will now enjoy retirement with his handler and family, thanking him for his dedicated service.
