A routine backyard outing in Woodstock, Georgia, turned into a life-or-death struggle when Sean Yanes fought off an aggressive raccoon to save his pug, RoRo.
The confrontation began when the raccoon charged and latched onto the dog’s tail, attempting to drag her away. After initial attempts to scare the animal off failed, Yanes was forced to grapple with the scavenger, eventually tumbling down a hill. He was finally able to free his pet by physically overpowering the animal.
RoRo suffered a tail injury but is expected to recover. Yanes sustained minor injuries and is undergoing rabies shots as a precaution. The raccoon has not been located, and its condition remains unknown.
