
A therapy dog in Georgetown ISD, Texas, is gaining national attention for her impact on students and staff.
Luna Raptor, a certified therapy dog, supports emotional well-being in schools and also works at the Williamson County Juvenile Detention Center.
Handled by Tara Stewart, Luna is known for quickly calming stressed individuals, often helping resolve difficult situations in minutes. She has served in this role for five years. Luna Raptor is now a finalist in the “Hero Pets” category of the Pet Lovers’ Choice Awards, competing to be named the nation’s top Hero Dog. Voting is open through Sunday evening.
