A South Florida family is sharing an extraordinary story of survival after their puppy’s life hung in the balance following accidental poison ingestion and an unexpected rescue effort that changed everything.

The family’s Christmas joy turned to heartbreak when their 4-month-old Siberian husky, Bodhi, accidentally ingested rat poison and developed severe neurological symptoms. Veterinarians warned the toxin had no cure, and his condition appeared fatal, leading the family to consider euthanasia.

A rescue group intervened, placing Bodhi with a foster and rushing him to intensive care for emergency treatment to reduce brain swelling. In a stunning turnaround, the puppy made a full recovery after 36 hours in the ICU.
