A South Bay family has been reunited with their French bulldog Koko nearly two and a half years after she went missing from their San Jose home in 2023.
The dog disappeared after a backyard gate was left open, and despite extensive searches and microchip alerts, the family was unable to locate her and even faced scam attempts during the search.
This week, a woman in San Francisco who had purchased the dog on Craigslist contacted the family after recognizing Koko online and confirmed her identity through photos. The emotional reunion took place on Sunday. The family says Koko has now returned home safely, while their search continues for their other missing dog, Gizmo.
