A K9 unit helped locate a missing autistic teenager in Jacksonville, Florida, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Video footage shows the police dog, Ruger, leading officers along a roadway during the April 21 search. Following a scent trail to a nearby commercial area, the dog helped guide officers to the teen after he called out.
After locating him, Ruger was seen licking the teenager as officers confirmed he was safe. Authorities credited the K9 team, Ruger and Officer Chris Havens, for the successful rescue.
