A 4-month-old puppy named Luna Mae is recovering after being thrown from a third-story window in Northeast Ohio on July 6.

A passerby found Luna Mae and rushed her to a veterinary hospital, where she was treated for two broken legs and other injuries. The Berea Animal Rescue Fund later took the puppy into its care after she was not claimed and quickly raised funds to help cover her medical expenses.

Luna Mae is now recovering with a foster family while veterinarians determine the next steps for her treatment. Despite her injuries, she is reported to be in good spirits, and her foster family hopes to adopt her once she recovers.
