A senior beagle named Rosie has been reunited with the son of her late owner after disappearing for 10 years and being found hundreds of miles from home in Florida.

Animal rescuers identified Rosie through a microchip, which led them back to her original Maryland rescue organization. The rescue group then contacted Chris Becker, the son of Rosie's late owner, who had lost track of the dog after his father's death. Believing he would never see Rosie again, Becker flew to Florida as soon as he learned she had been found.

The emotional reunion marked the end of a decade-long mystery. Becker brought Rosie back to Maryland and also adopted another rescue dog to keep her company, while the circumstances of how she ended up in Florida remain unknown.
