Therapy dogs are helping ease travel stress at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, where trained canine volunteers greet passengers with friendly visits and tail wags before their flights.

The dogs, part of Hertz's Gold Squad, welcomed rental car customers with friendly interactions designed to reduce travel stress. The specially trained golden retrievers are taught to recognize signs of anxiety and provide comfort through gentle companionship.

The therapy dogs were on hand ahead of the FIFA Men's World Cup semifinals, one of the busiest travel periods of the summer. Organizers said the program aims to make travel more enjoyable by giving passengers a chance to relax before continuing their journeys.
