Salpointe Catholic High School welcomed students back for the new school year with a focus on wellness and Lulu, a new four-legged addition to campus.

Lulu, a six-month-old white Labrador, is being trained as a service animal and will support the school’s wellness efforts. She will be part of the counseling program, offering comfort to students during stressful moments or mental health challenges. A group of students called the “Lulu Crew” will help care for her during the school day.

The school is also continuing its “Recharge Room,” where students can take a break and use tools such as guided meditation. Administrators are also developing new life-skills classes as part of their broader efforts to support student wellness.
