The final 155 beagles at Ridglan Farms in Wisconsin are expected to leave the breeding facility by August 12, marking the final stage of a large-scale rescue effort.
Big Dog Ranch Rescue will take custody of the dogs, including 141 puppies. The beagles will receive veterinary care, vaccinations, and other medical attention before being prepared for adoption.
The latest transfer brings the total number of beagles relocated from Ridglan Farms to more than 2,100. The facility has committed to ending its dog-breeding, sales, research, and testing operations, giving the remaining dogs a chance to begin new lives.
