A tiny Yorkshire terrier named Benny is winning hearts online after fearlessly confronting a bear in his family’s backyard in Buncombe County, North Carolina.

The surprising encounter was captured on video, showing the little dog standing his ground against a much larger wild animal.

In the footage, Benny chases the bear around a tree, prompting the animal to climb up to avoid the fearless pup. Despite Benny’s bold behavior, encounters with bears can be dangerous for small pets.

The video has sparked reactions from viewers amazed by Benny’s courage. His adventure proves that bravery comes in all sizes—but it’s always safest to keep dogs at a distance from wild bears.
