A dedicated member of the local law enforcement community has officially hung up her harness.
Red, a bloodhound and K-9 unit with the Randolph County Sheriff's Office, has retired from active duty following years of faithful service. Deputies celebrated her career by hosting a special send-off retirement party.
Beyond her daily fieldwork, Red’s service left a lasting mark on the community, inspiring the children’s book Red's Great Adventure. Copies of the book are available for purchase, with all proceeds directly supporting the Randolph County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit.
