Douglas County Sheriff’s Office K9 Trapper in Oregon has officially retired after 11 years of service as a narcotics detection dog, the agency announced.

Trapper spent more than a decade assisting deputies with drug investigations and helping keep the community safe throughout Douglas County. During his career, he used his specialized training and strong sense of smell to help locate illegal narcotics and support law enforcement operations.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office recognized Trapper’s dedication, loyalty, and years of service, thanking him for his commitment to protecting the community. After a successful career, Trapper will now begin a well-earned retirement filled with rest, care, and time to enjoy life off duty.
