An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper rescued an abandoned puppy found in a crate at an I-71 rest area in Medina County last week.

Trooper Kronander brought the puppy to the Medina Post before it was later transferred to the Medina County SPCA, where the dog is now up for adoption.
