Boss, a 9-year-old Belgian Malinois who served as an explosives detection dog with the U.S. Army, has reunited with his former handler, Rebecca Anderson, after retiring from service.
After years of working together, the pair were separated when Anderson left the military. With help from the American Humane Society, Boss traveled more than 5,400 miles from Italy to Missouri to reunite with Anderson and begin his well-deserved retirement with the person who knew him best.
Now, the retired K-9 hero is enjoying a new chapter filled with comfort, care, and companionship.
