Nearly one year after being flown from Pennsylvania to her adoptive home in Colorado, Bella, a partially paralyzed Beagle mix, is thriving as a beloved community ambassador.

Bella was adopted by Kiki McGough, a nationally recognized special needs pet handler and Pittsburgh native. Over the past year, the rescue dog has taken part in school reading events, visited seniors at a community center, and become a familiar face at a local church, where she is known for her colorful outfits.

Bella is also set to appear in the Colorado Pet Pantry 2027 calendar. Her journey recently earned recognition from Jared Polis, who praised her story as an example of the power of animal rescue and second chances.
