A frightening coyote attack on a small dog has ended on a hopeful note, as a 13-year-old Shih Tzu named Angel recovers after being bitten in her backyard.

The incident, which showed a coyote jumping a fence to attack a dog, raised concerns about coyote attacks on pets in residential areas. Despite the scare, Angel survived and is nearly fully healed—marking a rare case of a Shih Tzu surviving a coyote attack.

In response, a local business owner is building a coyote-proof dog enclosure to create a safe outdoor space for small dogs and help protect dogs from coyotes in backyard environments.
