A 5-year-old Lagotto Romagnolo named Carl is safe after spending roughly 17 hours stranded on a narrow ledge about 120 feet down a cliff in Dickson County, Tennessee.
After Carl disappeared during a visit to a friend’s farm, his owner and neighbors searched through the night, eventually locating him with a drone. The next morning, firefighters from four departments used a high-angle rope rescue system to reach Carl and safely bring him back to the top.
Remarkably, Carl suffered no serious injuries and was later checked by a veterinarian. His emotional reunion with his owner brought tears of joy and a happy ending to a frightening night.
