The Arizona Department of Public Safety has welcomed Daisy, a 4-month-old Australian Labradoodle and the agency’s first crisis response canine. She is training with detectives from the department’s Crisis Negotiations Team.

Daisy will comfort trauma victims, families and witnesses while supporting first responders during stressful emergencies. She made her first deployment July 24 in Tucson during a high-risk search warrant, where she comforted an emotionally distressed resident during a medical evaluation.
