The Hollidaysburg Police Department in Pennsylvania has introduced a new narcotics detection K-9, a 20-month-old German short-haired pointer named Dea.
K9 Dea, the first dog to ever wear the department’s badge, is trained to detect drugs including cocaine, fentanyl, and xylazine and will primarily serve with local police, with the ability to assist nearby agencies.
Officials say the dog, funded through Blair County’s Operation Our Town program, will support investigations and enhance public safety.
