Hound and Home and Muddy Paws Barkery hosted a “Howl-O-Ween Pawty” in Newington, Connecticut, on Sunday to raise funds for New England Puppy Rescue. The event featured a pet costume contest, parade, treat samples, photos, drawings and local vendors.

Hound and Home owner Kayla Walker said the businesses also raised money throughout October through a donation display called the “Boneyard” to support the rescue’s efforts to find loving homes for puppies.

Muddy Paws Barkery also supports high school students with disabilities from the Hartford area by providing opportunities to learn how to bake and package pet treats in an inclusive, supportive environment.
