Massachusetts Dog Stolen from Yard Recovered by Passerby and Returned to Owner

Jazz, a 9-year-old dog, has been reunited with his owner thanks to a passerby after being stolen from a Fall River, Massachusetts yard.

The dog was taken from a home on Pearce Street Tuesday afternoon while the owner was inside. Sara Branco spotted Jazz near the Tipsy Seagull late Wednesday night. Recognizing the black, fluffy dog, she fed him and kept him safe until Christopher Silvia, owner of Christopher’s Cafe, arrived to assist in reuniting the pet with his owner. Branco declined any reward for her help.

Police have not yet identified any suspects. Silvia announced he will offer a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. The dog’s owner was overjoyed to have Jazz back home safely.
