A Phoenix veteran is urgently searching for his missing dog, Tinkerbell, a 12-year-old chiweenie with a serious heart condition who has been without her medication since disappearing earlier this month.

The family says Tinkerbell vanished from their backyard on May 7 and believes she may have been taken after her collar was found left behind. Since then, the owners have followed multiple reported sightings and continued searching throughout the city.

Tinkerbell’s medical needs have made the search especially urgent. Her owners say the dog relies on vital heart medication and are asking the public to help bring her home safely.

The family remains hopeful that community tips and reported sightings will lead to Tinkerbell’s safe return.
