A rescue dog is winning over audiences this summer. Pippin, a lovable mixed-breed dog, stars as Spot in the Colorado Shakespeare Festival's production of Shakespeare in Love.

Chosen through an open casting call, Pippin shares the role with another dog and spent several weeks rehearsing before opening night. Her playful personality and calm temperament quickly made her a favorite among the cast and crew.

Now performing in five shows at the historic Mary Rippon Outdoor Theater in Boulder, Colorado, Pippin has become one of the festival's biggest crowd-pleasers, earning laughter and applause every time she trots onstage.
