California Dog Trainer Convicted of Killing 11 Dogs and Attempting to Conceal Deaths

Irvine,
CA -

A dog trainer from Orange County in Southern California has been convicted of animal cruelty in a case involving the deaths of multiple pets entrusted to his care. Prosecutors said the deaths were caused by extreme negligence and followed by efforts to conceal what happened.

Kwong Chun Sit, 54, was found guilty of killing 11 dogs by leaving them in small crates inside a hot van, leading to fatal heatstroke, according to court evidence. He was also convicted of attempting to destroy evidence after allegedly trying to have the animals cremated in order to hide the circumstances of their deaths.

His girlfriend, Tingfeng Liu, was also found guilty as an accessory to a felony. Pet owners described receiving misleading messages claiming their dogs had died peacefully in their sleep and been cremated, expressing shock and grief over the loss of their animals.
