Two beloved facility dogs, Polenta and Norene, made history at Evergreen High School in Colorado by becoming the school’s first canine homecoming king and queen.
The dogs play an important role in supporting students and staff, offering comfort, affection, and companionship as the school community continues to cope with the tragedy of a 2025 school shooting.
Their special recognition celebrates the positive impact dogs can have on emotional well-being and reminds everyone that sometimes, a little furry love can make a world of difference.
