A Florida man was arrested Wednesday after Brevard County deputies discovered three dogs tied to trees at a residence, including one that had died from starvation, authorities said.
Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey said deputies responded to the property last year after a neighbor reported a disturbing situation. They found two severely emaciated dogs and a third dog that had starved to death.
Authorities said the dogs were left tied to trees without proper access to food, water, or care. The surviving dogs were rescued and are now receiving veterinary treatment. The suspect, identified as Billy Langley, faces charges of animal cruelty and keeping animals in an enclosure without exercise. He is being held without bond.
