A young Belgian Malinois named Mal has found a new purpose as a police K-9 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Mal was found abandoned in a backyard at just seven months old. After being taken to a shelter, she was fostered and trained by a Fort Lauderdale police officer.
After successfully completing her training and testing, Mal is now serving as an explosive-detection K-9 with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.
