Teddy, a 20-pound white dog, was found trapped inside a San Diego storm drain after more than 30 days on the run.
A neighbor heard his cries and alerted San Diego County Animal Services. Officer Britney Myers located Teddy and safely lowered herself into the drain to bring him to safety.
Teddy was dirty, underweight and hungry, but was easily coaxed out with treats. After being cleaned up at a groomer, he was reunited with his owner, who had been searching for him for weeks.
