Penny, a rescue dog from Texas, is preparing to take the stage in St. Mary High School's production of Legally Blonde: The Musical. But she's also looking for a forever home.

The 2-year-old Chihuahua-Dachshund mix will play Bruiser when the musical opens November 6. Rescued from a euthanasia list in Texas, Penny was brought to Western New York by Sadie's Safe Harbor and is now living with a foster family. She has already won the hearts of students and staff.
