First responders in Wilson County, Tennessee, have a new furry friend named Mazie to turn to during tough times.
Mazie, a certified first responder therapy dog, will soon begin supporting the Wilson County Emergency Management Agency. She and her handler, Kim, recently visited a WEMA station to meet first responders and will make regular visits to WEMA facilities and attend select training sessions. Kim has completed specialized training to support Mazie in her new role.
Mazie’s mission is simple: to bring comfort, smiles and a little extra joy to the people who work every day to care for their community.
